Carmie Bush Obituary

Ms. Carmie Renae Bush, 49, of Smyrna descended from this earth and transitioned to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2020.

Ms. Bush was born April 7, 1971 in Savannah to Kenneth (Nancy) Bush and Jennie (Bobby) Hodges. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Bush; sister, Pam Carino; maternal grandfather, J. M. Spearman; paternal grandparents, Ezra and Lucille Bush; and the love of her life, her Border Collie furbaby, Oreo. Ms. Bush was the agent and owner of Carmie’s Insurance Solutions in Smyrna, GA. She enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, cruises, softball, and hanging out with family and friends. Ms. Bush had a zest for life, and it radiated through family, work, and friendships and she would light up the world with just her presence. She was definitely a people-person and loved going to concerts and festivals. Ms. Bush was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and animal lover. She loved reaching out and helping the needy, elderly, and homeless, and supporting her family and friends in times of crisis. Ms. Bush’s pride and joy was her Jeep ride. Her love for her family and friends was infectious and she showed love with her beautiful smile and magic with her gorgeous blue eyes. Ms. Bush had unconditional love for everyone and a magnetic personality. The light of her life was her Mom and Daddy Hodge, her love for them and concern for their health and needs was always her first priority.

Survivors include her parents, Jennie & Bobby Hodges of Swainsboro; step-mother, Nancy Bush; brothers, Charles Bryant of Columbia, SC, Josh Bush of Carrollton; step-sister, Amity (Tony) Lindsey of McIntyre; step-brothers, Ty Hodges of Pooler, Kip (Season) Hodges of Swainsboro, Chris (Jenny) Elliott of Breman; maternal grandmother, Polly Spearman of Adrian; God Mother, Sandra Bush of Soperton; her new Border Collie furbaby, Thor; many uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends.
