Cory Lester Skipper

Mr. Cory Lester Skipper, 36, of Pooler passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, at Candler Hospital in Savannah following a brief illness.     

Cory was born November 1, 1984, in Savannah, GA to Johnny Skipper and the late Dottie Skipper. Cory was a simple man who loved his family and friends, especially his wife, Amanda, and his son, Cory Shawn. His hobbies included riding four wheelers, dirt track and drag racing, building fast cars and imports, R/C cars, and sound competitions. Cory could almost always be found in the garage or spending time with his son.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Skipper of Pooler; wife, Amanda L. Skipper of Pooler; son, Cory Shawn Skipper of Nicholasville, KY; brother, Sean (Misty) Skipper of Savannah; sister, Tracy (David) Cody of Thomson; nephew, Nick (Emily) Cody; niece, Lindsey Cody; several extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Central Baptist Church in Savannah with Elder Steve McNure and Pastor Kenny Harrelson officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery in Savannah.

Pallbearers will be Nick Cody, Justin McNure, Ben McNure, Skip Rogers, Phil Journagan, Jared Sapp, Stewart Sapp, Kyle Cartwright, and Brian Swain, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.
