Obituary
Mr. Dale Robert Baase, 63, of Dublin, GA, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023d at Southland Nursing and Rehab in Dublin after an extended illness.
Dale was born March 18, 1959 in Dunkirk, NY the son of the late Douglas Baase of Perry, GA and the late Emogene Grey Dobbins of Dunkirk, NY. He proudly served his country in the US Army, stationed in Soule, South Korea. Dale received a degree in Funeral Directing and Embalming from Gunther-Jones College in Atlanta and later served as Funeral Director at Watson Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA, Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton, GA and Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Swainsboro, GA. He also served as county coroner of Macon County, GA for several years. He was a former Mason and Shriner. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and practiced taxidermy.
Dale is survived by his wife, Kathy Holloway Baase of Dublin, Ga, Bonus Mom, Gail Baase of Perry, GA, half-brothers, Wayne Osburn of Cattaraugus, NY, Lee Baase of Florida, half-sister, Diane Nelson of Burton, OH.
No service will be held at this time. Dale will be put to rest with his mother in Dunkirk, NY.
