Mr. Donald Duane Davis, 73, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Davis was born August 17, 1947 in Macon to the late Jack Davis and Elizabeth Roberts Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Davis was owner of Donald Davis Logging Company. He logged his entire life until retirement. His work was also his hobby. Mr. Davis’s favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends at the lake. He past down his love of lake life to his grandkids. Mr. Davis enjoyed vacationing with his wife and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Davis of Swainsboro; son, Dr. Anthony (Brandi) Davis of Swainsboro; daughter, Andrea Roberts of Swainsboro; brothers, Danny (Linda) Davis of Statesboro, Dennis (Theresa) Davis of Stillmore; grandchildren, Davis Lamb, Jack Davis, Andrew Lamb, Anna Claire Davis; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Services will be 4 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Don Wilkes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during service.
