April 6, 1953 — February 12, 2013

Mr. Doyle A. Flanders, 59, of Swainsboro died early Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Uni-Health Post Acute Care in Swainsboro following an extended illness.

Mr. Flanders was born in Swainsboro.  He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Macon Flanders; sister, Grace Marie Flanders Jones.  Mr. Flanders served in the United States Army and attended the Beacon of Hope Church of God in Swainsboro.

Survivors include his mother, Mary T. Flanders of Swainsboro; daughters, Dana Angela Eason of Hazelhurst and Kristina Marie Eason of Baxley; stepsons, Terry Porterfield and Anthony Porterfield; brothers, Johnny Ray(Lou Ellen) Flanders of Bath SC, Harvey Lamar Flanders of Lincolnton, Charles D. (Martha) Flanders of Swainsboro, Richard E. (Sandra) Flanders of Upatoi; sisters, Virginia Flanders Canady of Swainsboro, Nancy Flanders Claxton of Swainsboro; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 10:30 am Thursday, morning February 14, 2013 with Reverend Jason Bryant officiating.  Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rocky McKenzie, Travis Claxton, Lamar Flanders, Keith Dyches, Colton Flanders, Mitchell Henry and Dan Dyches.
