Elouise Batten Edenfield

Mrs. Elouise Batten Edenfield, 83, of Lexsy passed away Thursday morning, August 3, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Edenfield was born March 1, 1934 in Johnston, North Carolina to the late James Batten and Lessi Cooper Batten. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William G. Edenfield; several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Edenfield worked with Bellsouth as one of the first operators that manually connected you with your party. She loved cooking for her family, gardening, and was a devoted Christian. Mrs. Edenfield was a member of United Fellowship Baptist Church and attended Blundale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Ralph Edenfield of Houston, TX., and Michael Edenfield of Louisville, KY.; sisters, Ann K. Arnold, and Lucille Rollins both of Virginia; sister-in-law, Emmie Edenfield of Twin City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 with Reverend Shannon Boula officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stillmore City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dana Strange, Dana Dismuke, Jonathan Oliff, Matt Wiggins, Brandon Williams, and John Bennett.
