Mrs. Emma Daisy Williams Doyle, 94, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Emanuel County Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Doyle was born March 12, 1929, in Summertown, GA to Robert Williams and Josephine Bines Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Doyle; daughter, Edith Phillips; sisters, Mary Gibbons, Annie Bell Brown and Lubie Bass; brothers, Mack Williams, Johnnie Williams, Barney Williams, Charlie Williams, John Robert Williams and Leroy Williams; Grandsons, Chico Washington, Willie Phillips, and Steven Wiggs; son-in-law, Henry Washington Sr. Mrs. Doyle graduated from Emanuel County High School, and she was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Doyle enjoyed yardwork and baking. She loved cats. She worked at Southern Laundry, Stones Dry Cleaner and then Merrion’s Dry Cleaners for fifty years.
Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Washington and Melissa Doyle, both of Swainsboro, Regenia Harvey (Lamar) of North Augusta, SC and Daisy B. Wiggs of California; sister, Carrie Kitchens of Elkin Park, PA; grandchildren, Barbara Estes (Michael), Wynnie Phillips, Sheryl Phillips, Robbin Strobridge, Robert Phillips, Henry Washington Jr, Ricky Washington (Larinda), Sergio Washington, Shawneki Ricks, Felecia Wiggs, Aaron Harvey, and Nyesha Harvey and a host of great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Doyle’s grandsons & great grandsons.
