Mr. Gary L. Gamiza, 62, of Midville passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Memorial Health following an extended illness.
Mr. Gamiza was born January 10, 1958 in Biloxi, MS to the late Mickey Gamiza and Bernice Boatright Gamiza. He was preceded in death by his parents. His beloved dog, Chase, met him in Heaven.. Pop’s world revolved around his wife, kids , and grandkids. The highlight of his days was when his kids and grandbabies would crowd around him in the living room. He loved when his friends would get together and grill supper and just spend time together. He loved to go to the lake, ride on his pontoon boat, and catch fish. He loved his dogs like his kids and treated them as a kid and not an animal. He loved his random riding around trips and going shopping with his baby. They truly were best friends and not just husband and wife. He was the best at fixing all the things we broke around the house. He loved spending time with his best friends and gathering with them. One of his friends gave him the nickname “On Purpose” for always splashing him on the boat any time he sat in the front. He enjoyed hanging with one of his friends and was up for any challenge or trip the wives sprung on them. He enjoyed his evening visits with his sister.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Robbie Gamiza of Midville; sons, Kevin (Ashley) Gamiza of Midville, Jason Gamiza of Twin City, Jeremy (Amber) Gamiza of Kite; daughter, Tammy (Kevin) Grimes of Twin City; sister, Judy (Ronnie) Johnson of Twin City; grandchildren, Hunter Gamiza, Gauge Gamiza, Amber Grimes, Austin Grimes, Shane Gamiza, Maverick Gamiza; beloved dog, Jake; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
