Gary Leon Green

Mr. Gary Leon Green, 65, of Adrian passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Gary was born July 29, 1958, in Jasper, FL to the late J. W. Green and Sara Hysmith Green.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Coren, Wanda Barber, Karen Green; brothers, Michael Green, Buddy Green and Frank Green. Mr. Green drove a school bus for Emanuel County for many years. He also drove a gas truck for many years. He was employed at Swainsboro Concrete. Mr. Green loved farming, fishing and spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren. He loved reading the bible and preaching God’s world. 

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Green of Adrian; sons, Gary Green, Jr. (Tiffany) and Matthew Dent, both of Adrian; daughters, Latosha Green and Tammy Coleman (R.J.), both of Swainsboro, Brittany Phillips (Matt) of Soperton; brother, Allen Green (Linette) of Kite; 13 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2023, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Green and Pastor Jimmy Stapleton officiating.

Interment will follow in Odomville Cemetery in Adrian.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Michael Wilson, Michael Dobson, Pee Wee Wilson, Ricky Beck, Billy Bennett, Justin Johnson and Don Wilkes.
