Gracie Mae Walker

Ms. Gracie Mae Coney Walker, 84, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Walker was born September 28, 1935 in Statesboro to the late Mose Coney, Sr. and Shellie Mercer Coney.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gloria Coney; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.  Ms. Walker was a very humble person with a sweet spirit who enjoyed people.  She was a member of Brown Chapel Church and attended St. Philip Baptist Church as well.

Survivors include her special niece, Melrose Coney of Swainsboro; sister, Ada James of Swainsboro; long time friend, George Anthony of Swainsboro; several other nieces, nephews and many friends..   

Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 13, 2019 2:00 P.M. at St. Philip Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Mercer officiating.

Interment will follow at Mercer Grove Cemetery.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, October 12, 2019 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mikhail Coney, Brien Coney and Schyuler Coney, Ricky Williams, Jessie Coney and Skylar Coney.
