Mr. Hampton Kelly, 79 of Twin City passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Kelly was born February 2, 1943, in Swainsboro to James Kelly and Annie Lue Durden Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert Kelly, June Kelly, George Kelly; sisters, Annie Lue Kelly, Essie Bell Williams. Mr. Kelly enjoyed farming, riding horses, fishing, and watching tv. He was a member of Ohoopee Grove Baptist Church and loved doing programs as a way to give back to the church.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Sylvia M. Kelly of Twin City; sons, Frederick Kelly (Maria) of Dublin, Terry Kelly of Twin City; daughter, Felicia Pharr (Eric) of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Aaron Jordan, Teran Kelly, Diamond Kelly, Josh Kelly, Ashanti Kelly, Shania Kelly; greatgrandchildren, Aaliyah Jordan, Aaron Jordan, Jr., Ayden Jordan; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the Swainsboro Auditorium with Reverend Alan Moss officiating.
Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Pharr, Eric Pharr, Jr., Aaron Jordan, Chris Kirkland, Terry Kelly, Fredrick Kelly, Josh Kelly, and Teran Kelly.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Dennis Coney.
