Mr. Hank Williams, 62, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at AU Medical Center in Augusta, GA following a brief illness.
Mr. Williams was born September 15, 1958, in Savannah, Ga to Archie Williams and Edna Ruth Mosley Williams. He is preceded in death by his parents. Hank Williams was a modern-day cowboy in the wrong era. He was a Godly man of honor, integrity, and pride. He strongly believed in honesty, loyalty, family, and that anything worth doing is worth doing right. You could describe Hank as a real man. There was something about him that no other man could fake or duplicate. He loved his Harley Davidson, his family, hunting, and was passionate about guns. He often quoted “A man’s character should be judged by the steel he carries on his side.” With that being said, Hank was a 1911 man, he only carried a Colt .45. He had a heart of gold and did not judge others as he felt it was only God’s place to cast judgement. He would give the shirt off his back and help anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. He was a rare occurrence in today’s time. He was gentle, kind, and humble, all the way till the very end. Our worlds are a lesser place now that is gone, but his presence has made heaven a far better place.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Williams of Swainsboro; sons, Mitchell Williams and Hank Anthony Williams (Melissa), David Michael Williams (April) all of Swainsboro; sisters, Cynthia McDonald (Bobby), Edna (Buster) Wiggins of Twin City; grandchildren, Austen Williams (Emmi), Cheyanne Hodges (Kenneth), Seth Williams (Heather), Shaylee Williams (Heath), Ean Williams, Wyatt Williams, Fayla Williams; great grandchildren, Everly Hodges, Lawton Hilburn, Braylon Hilburn; nephews, Brian Bird, Casey Bird, Wesley Wiggins, Chandler Wiggins; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
