Hazel O'Neal Jenkins

Ms. Hazel O’Neal Jenkins, 81, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah following an extended illness.

Ms. Jenkins was born November 22, 1940, in Sylvania to Jessie Kerr Jenkins and Vivian Francis Dickey Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Susan Naomi Jenkins of Knoxville, TN and Rose Evelyn Taylor of Millen. Ms. Jenkins went to school at Sylvania High School. She later married Mack H. Farrow on June 17, 1966, in Columbia, SC. The two were baptized members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ms. Jenkins worked as an insurance agent for State Farm for eighteen years before becoming a stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed spending her free time making clothes, singing, and dancing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Rene Farrow of Savannah; her grandsons, Jacob Dalton Edenfield (Jamie) of Savannah, Tyler Seth Passmore of Swainsboro; great-grandchildren, Braxton Ace Passmore, Makenley Gray Edenfield, and James “Otto” Edenfield.

Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and other staff of Memorial Health in Savannah for the care and love shown to their sweet Hazel.
