Hiram Price

Mr. Hiram Price, 81, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.   

Mr. Price was born February 4, 1942, in Kite to the late Thurman Price and Lizzie Mae Brady Price.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Price and Billy Price. Mr. Price was a simple & quiet man. He loved his family and cars. He enjoyed racing cars, rebuilding cars and lawnmowers. He was considered a shade tree mechanic. He worked at Calvine, Otasco & Sconyers Grist mill for a time. In his most recent years, he spent his time doing lawncare.

Mr. Price is survived by his daughter, Becky Wilson (Richey) of Douglas; sister, Gloria McCoy (Daniel) of Adrian; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Price and Reverend Harry Hadden officiating.

Interment will be at Oaky Grove Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers are Reagan Moxley, River Moxley, Russell Sammons, Kevin McDaniel, Chase Price and Dale Ogletree.
