Hugh B. Johnson

Mr. Hugh B. Johnson, 78, of Garfield passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Jenkins County Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Johnson was born September 2, 1943, in Millen to Pike Johnson and Trobie Johnson Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith.  His passion in life was his faith, his family and his farm.  Hugh's hobbies included fishing, hunting and riding around his farmland.  He also enjoyed many years of cheering for the Falcons - win or lose.  Hugh was a simple country man who lived an extraordinary life.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years and his baby, Martha Sue Johnson of Garfield; son, Wes Johnson (Monica) of Millen; daughters, Teri Price (Joe) and Sheri Johnson (Jeff Newsome), both of Swainsboro, Sheila Faulkner (Billy) of Twin City; grandchildren, Patrick Price (Lauren), Marla Hooks (Ashley), Ryan Price (Kim), Jennifer Kelly, Jada DeBoo (Joey), River Jordan (Taylor), Christian Woods, Zach Woods, Alaina Boulineau; great-grandchildren, Ella Jo Hooks, Broxton Hooks, Zella Price, Joslyn DeBoo, Bowen Jordan, Molly Rose Jordan; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
