Mr. Jason Mitchell Carlyle, 53 of Swainsboro, passed away September 28th, 2023, at Emanuel County Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Jason was born September 9th, 1970, to Essie Mae Washington Carlyle at 6:37 p.m. in Swainsboro at Emanuel County Hospital. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Young; nephews, Antoine Carlyle and Fred Carlyle. Jason went to public schools until he quit school at the age of 15 taking his first job at Piggly Wiggly as a bag boy to help pay the bills. He returned to school and graduated April 1989. Jason was a member of the First Davis Chapel Holiness Church. Later he made several visits to Pastor Pete Harden’s church. Jason was a believer of Jesus Christ. He loved to watch good action movies and spend time with his family. His hobbies were cooking and grilling. Jason never wanted his family to worry about him.
He is survived by his mother, Essie Carlyle of Swainsboro; sisters, Wylene Carlyle of Washington, DC, Sabrina Carlyle and Nichola (David) Robinson, both of Swainsboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 12:00 P.M.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home, Saturday, October 14, 2023.
