Mr. Jermaine Jackson, the son of Mr. Howard Gillis, Mr. Otis L. Williams, Jr., and Mrs. Josephine Gadson Jackson, was born on October 25, 1986 in Swainsboro, GA. His life ended tragically on September 12, 2023. Mr. Jackson was a 2005 graduate of Swainsboro High School. After graduation, he received his diploma in Commercial Truck Driving from Utah. After completing school, Jermaine drove log trucks until his death. He enjoyed fishing, cooking out with family and friends, going to the racetracks, and being an overall comedian.
Jermaine was preceded in death by his fathers, Mr. Howard Gillis and Mr. Otis Lee Williams, Jr; one aunt, Mrs. Carolyn Boatright; two uncles, Mr. Jessie Gadson and Mr. Robert Jones.
He leaves a lifetime of memories to: one daughter, Little Miss Jazlyn J. Jackson of Swainsboro, GA; his mother, Mrs. Josephine “Mary” Gadson Jackson of Swainsboro, GA; the mother of his only child, Ms. Felicia Alexander of Swainsboro, GA; four brothers, Mr. Andra Jackson, Dea. John E. Parker, Mr. Mitchell Silas, and Mr. Randy Drummer all of Swainsboro, GA; three sisters, Ms. Keisha Silas, Mrs. Delilah Silas, and Ms. Shandy Silas all of Swainsboro, GA; four aunts, Ms. Robertha Gadson, Mrs. Karen G. Young, and Mrs. Shirley A. Gillis all of Swainsboro, GA and Mrs. Earnestine G. Reese of Millen, GA; three uncles, Mr. Joseph Gadson, Mr. Verlon (Willie Ruth) Gillis, Mr. Vernon (Martha Ann) Gillis all of Swainsboro, GA; six nieces, Ms. Ashondra Jackson, Ms. Eshanti Silas, Ms. Aubrey Broadwater, Ms. Nijah Silas all of Swainsboro, GA, Ms. Danielle Carter and Ms. Brayla Jones both of Augusta, GA; five nephews, Mr. Deandra Jackson, Mr. Kamori Smith, Mr. Eric Worthen, Jr., Mr. Richard Parrish, Jr., and Mr. Randy Coleman, Jr. all of Swainsboro, GA; and a host of cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Swainsboro City Auditorium.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2023 prior to the service at Swainsboro City Auditorium.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
