John Allen Jones

Mr. John Allen Jones, 76, of Twin City passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.    

Mr. Jones was born June 29, 1944 in Twin City to the late Remer “Buster” Jones and Christine Lawson Jones.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Jones worked at Automatic Sprinkler and Calvine’s.  He also enjoyed farming and being outside taking care of his farm animals.  Mr. Jones was a member of Baptist Rest Primitive Baptist Church.      

Survivors include his sisters, Patricia (Tom) Harvill of Byron and Nancy Roberts of Swainsboro; brothers, Richard Jones and Sammy (Brenda) Jones, both of Twin City; nieces, Tammie Rountree, Buffy Snellgrove; nephews, Jim Roberts, Travis Harvill, John David Harvill, Chatt Jones, Matt Jones, Carson Jones; special caregiver, Janie Mae Randall; several great nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Elder Mike Gray officiating.   

Interment will follow in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Carson Jones, Matt Jones, Chatt Jones, Reecie Scott, Ben Brown, and John David Harvill.
