Jonathan Woodrow Mimbs

            Mr. Jonathan Woodrow Mimbs, 43, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday night, December 19, 2017 at Emanuel Medical Center.

            Mr. Mimbs was born February 23, 1974 in Swainsboro, Ga. to Mark Mimbs and Patricia Hudson Mimbs. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Woodrow Mimbs and Gladys Mimbs; maternal grandparents, Joseph Hudson and Betty D. Hudson. Mr. Mimbs loved doing yardwork, fishing, drinking sweet tea and cooking. He especially loved his family. Mr. Mimbs was of the Baptist Faith.

            Survivors include his parents, Mark Mimbs of Soperton, and Patricia Mimbs of Swainsboro; wife, Missy Mimbs of Swainsboro; son, Jon Mark Mimbs of Valdosta; daughter, Marah Collins of Vidalia; step-son, Tyler Roberson of Swainsboro; Step-daughter, Courtney Hooks (Kyle) of Swainsboro; sisters, Jodi Griner (Craig) and Samantha Kight (Chris) both of Soperton; father-in-law, LC Clark (Teresa) of Bartow; mother-in-law, Patricia Clark of Louisville; grandson, Hudson Hooks of Swainsboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 with Reverend Conway Jones officiating.

           Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

           Pallbearers are LC Clark, Jr., James Kersey, Tim White, Ricky Beck, Lee Page, and Jerry Akridge

           Honorary Pallbearers are Employees of Northern Clearing.
