Ms. Joyce Lynn Whitlock, 46, of Dudley, GA died Friday, February 04, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.
Ms. Whitlock was born in Lawton, Okalahoma and was preceded in death by her step-father Harold A. Martin; her maternal grandparents, Daisy J. and Dennis Gryder, and her paternal grandparents, Samuel A. and Helen Joyce Whitlock. She was a member of the Swainsboro High School Class of 1982 and loved raising her nephews.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda Martin, Dudley; sister, Samantha Dean, Dudley; sister’s fiancé, Mathew William Carpenter, Dudley; nephews, Matthew Cole Hayward and Zachary Taylor Ipsaro both of Dudley; aunt, Loretta Meeks, Swainsboro.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, February 9, with the Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial will be in Eastbrook Cenmetery, Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 8 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brad Grimm, Matthew William Carpenter, Neal Foskey, Kevin Monroe, Jeff Wiggins, and Billy Cavanah.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Swainsboro High School Class of 1982 and Employees of United Hospice, Swainsboro.
