Katrina Renae Coney

Ms. Katrina Renae Coney, 38, of Millen passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness.

Ms. Coney was born October 6, 1982 in Kentucky to Ms. Sonya Coney. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leonard Coney. Just an amazing person all around.  She loved her children and her grandchildren.  Katrina loved to laugh and cook.  She would do anything to help anybody.  Katrina would give great advice if you needed it.  To know her was to love her.

Survivors include her mother, Sonya Coney of Swainsboro; companion, Kendrick Mobley of Millen; sons, Ja’Ron Roper and Craig Roper, Jr. both of Millen; daughters, Alexia Roper and Shania Coney both of Millen; maternal grandmother, Rosetta Coney of Garfield; brother, Antawn Coney of Millen; sisters, Shanee Coney of Millen and Brittany Jenkins of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jayden Roper and Alaiya Roper; many friends.

Katrina was an amazing daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. 

Graveside Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Mercer Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Charles Weaver officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
