Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Miles

Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Miles, 78, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Miles was born October 11, 1943, in Miami, FL, to Leila Reese Stephens and Everett Miles.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug Alligod. Mr. Miles loved sports. He enjoyed playing golf, watching baseball, and college football. He was senior golf champion three years in a row. He was involved in a variety of activities, including Hawhammock Brotherhood. Mr. Miles was a member of Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jane Miles of Swainsboro; daughters, Melina Zettlemoyer (Kurt) of Marietta, Samantha Mabry of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Connor Mabry, Shayne Mabry, Nicholas Zettlemoyer; sister, Pat Stephens of Powder Springs; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Cail Pressey and Reverend Billy Brinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Hawhammock Church Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Ray Downer, Jarrod Downer, Shawn Hooks, Chase Hooks, Eddie Lewis, and Steven Henry.
