Ms. Kimberly “Kim” Coleman, 52, of Twin City passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at her residence following a brief illness.
Ms. Coleman was born February 11, 1966 in Atlanta, Ga. to Joe Sid Cowart and Peggy Thomas Cowart. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Thomas Coleman. Ms. Coleman worked at David Emanuel Academy where she loved the kids and her co-workers. She was always ready to help anyone; her girls were her world. Kim was known for her smile. Ms. Coleman attended Hebron Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Joe Sid and Peggy Cowart of Twin City; daughters, Allison Coleman, and Alexis Coleman both of Twin City; granddaughter, Marlee Johnson of Twin City; brother, Alan Cowart (Carmine) of Savannah; nieces and nephews, Ryan Cowart (Evan), Nina Kate Brackett (Drew), Jacob Grimes, Aaralyn Grimes, Catlin Coleman, and Hollan Coleman; father of Allison and Alexis, Verlon Coleman; many friends.
Funeral Services will be at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with Elder Sam Bowen officiating. Ms. Coleman will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Interment will follow in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Vince Coleman, Ryan Cowart, Wesley Cowart, Clint Inman, Andy Sutton, John Mosley, Trai Johnson, and Jimmy Wedincamp.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Kim at Citizens Bank in Swainsboro.
