Mr. Lamar Moore, 78, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at AU Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Moore was born April 20, 1942 to the late Rufus Clyde Moore and Zoie Lee Coleman Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie Joyce Marsh Moore; brother, Jimmie Moore; sisters, Margaret Proctor, Johnnie Clyde Wolford and Mary Ann Alewine. Mr. Moore enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended New Beginnings in Christ.
Survivors include his sons, Tony (Kristi) Moore and Dean (Tina) Moore, both of Swainsboro, Randy Moore of Cobbtown; companion, Molly McNeely; brothers, Russell (Judy) Moore of Dellwood, Steelie (Connie) Moore of Swainsboro; stepson, David Smith of Swainsboro; stepdaughters, Julia Atkinson, Brenda (Lonnie) Conley, Ollie (Franklin) Stevens, Linda (Randy) Forehand, all of Swainsboro, Nellie Green (Maynard Breeden) of Satsuma, FL; grandchildren, Hannah Cauley, Madison Moore, Miranda Wynn, Tracy Faircloth, Mark Moore, and Christina Cribbs; 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be Wednesday, November 4, 2020 11:00 a.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Russ Harrell, Mason Manning, Roger McCullough, Hunter Moore, Jim Harrell and James Akridge.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
