Leon Kersey Obituary

Mr. Leon Walden Kersey, 72, of Adrian passed away Wednesday April 1, 2020 at his resident following an extended illness.

Mr. Kersey was born September 19, 1947 in Adrian, GA to the late Waldon Morris Kersey and Grace Kersey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Martha Kersey. Mr. Kersey was Vietnam Veteran and received a Bronze Star while in service. He worked as a truck driver and a heavy equipment operator. He retired and loved to fish and work on motors. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church in Norristown, GA.

Survivors include his daughters Karen Kersey of Vidalia and Melany (Jeff) Kersey of East Dublin; sons, Wes (Kristina) Kersey of Jacksonville, Florida and Adam Kersey of Twin City; Grandsons, Brandon Wilkes, Miles Bruner, Tre’Paul McClain; Granddaughters, Kacy Beasley, Aerial Kersey, Rose Kersey, Jada Weltback, Addison Kersey; 9 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services was held April 2, 2020 at the Kersey Family Cemetery.
