Lucille Brantley

Mrs. Lucille Brantley, 95, of Wrightsville passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Greenwood Place following an extended illness.

Mrs. Brantley was born December 25, 1925, in Kite to the late Rufus Claxton and Nancy Tuttle Claxton.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert F. Brantley; sisters, Dot Neighbors, Ann Johnson, Ruby Flanders, Bessie Will Porter, and Carabelle Jordan.  Mrs. Brantley was a homemaker.  She started the Prayer Breakfast Club in Kite.  She loved working in her yards, especially with her azaleas and roses.  Her yard always had to be immaculate. 

Survivors include her sons, Larry Brantley of Kite, Jerry (Sally) Brantley of Atlanta, Terry (Ann) Brantley of Chattanooga, TN, Gary (Donna) Brantley of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Allison Moncrief (Jeff), Adam Brantley (Jin), Amanda Batlle (C.J.), Jessica Beatty (John), Lauren Hlawati (Jason), Justin Brantley (Alyssa), Jeremy Brantley; great grandchildren, Ava Moncrief, Abbie Moncrief, Lilly Batlle, Brantley Batlle, Beckman Batlle, Addie Mae Beatty, Henry Beatty, Benson Hlawati, Jake Moncrief, Morgan Moncrief; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Arthur Conley and Ricky Downs officiating.

Pallbearers will be Adam Brantley, Justin Brantley, Jeremy Brantley, Jeff Moncrief, C.J. Batllet, John Beatty, Jason Hlawati.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kite Prayer Breakfast Club and Woody Nasworthy.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church.
