Mrs. Mary Frances Hudson, 77, of Savannah passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hudson was born April 27, 1945, in Savannah to Quinca Conner and Myrtice Anderson Conner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shelton Hudson; son, Kenny Hudson; brother, Jimmy Conner. Nothing made her happier than being with her family, her children and grandchildren were her life. Mrs. Hudson really enjoyed writing songs and poems for years. Crafting and making things was something she liked to do. Looking back at her life over the years, her children noticed she had a bit of carpentry skills too. On any given day, she would build a shelf or use boards to make anything she set her mind to – even if it was using a cardboard box. This always made her children smile, seeing her creative mind at work. When she was able, she thoroughly enjoyed shopping at Goodwill and Dollar Tree. Mrs. Hudson was a loving, giving, and overall great mother to her children and a great friend to all she met. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her sons, David Hudson (Denise) of Brooklet, Doug Hudson of Statesboro; daughter, Sharon Grigsby (Darrin) of Garden City; sisters, JoAnne White (Bobby) of Statesboro, Betty Woodward of Toccoa; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Believers Church of Statesboro with Pastor Scott Moore officiating.
Interment will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Emory Fennell conducting the committal.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Believers Church of Statesboro.
