Mary Ruth Brown

Mrs. Mary Ruth Brown, 70, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Brown was born October 7, 1950, in Swainsboro to the late William Harry Brown and Annie Ruth Colbert Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Brown, Charles Brown, Danny Brown; sister, Juanita Wadley. Mrs. Brown enjoyed going shopping and cooking. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was a member of Love In Action.

Survivors include her daughters, Toinette Lashawn Brown of Jonesboro, Tiera Chantrell (Jermaine) Foster of Statesboro; sons, Juan Maurice (Laurielle) Brown and Dante Brown, both of Swainsboro, Martez (Brandi) Brown of Dublin; husband, Elijah Carswell of Swainsboro; brothers, Samuel Brown of Douglasville, Larry Brown of Cincinnati, OH, Leon Brown of Atlanta, Gene Brown of Swainsboro; sisters, Annie Scott of Detroit, MI, Julia Crawford of Rex, Cora Brown of Cincinnati, OH; special granddaughter and caretaker, Cssacia Brown of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 10, 2021, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home. 

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.
