Mrs. Mary Evelyn Williams, 89, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Williams was born November 13, 1932, in Statesboro to Joe Willie Fail and Lillie Mae Fail. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Lamar Williams; son, Billy Monroe Williams. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and she loved flowers. Mrs. Williams was a member of Eastwood Church of God.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Williams, Ray Williams; daughters, Betty Hall, Barbara Hall (David), Becky Rutherford (Nathan), Emily Miczek, Geneva Hall; sisters, Carrie Finch, Dorothy Underwood; 10 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, many great-greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Flowers officiating.
Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Braswell, Jeremy Odom, Justin Gray, Jackson Gray, Chandler Radford, and Billy Williams.
Honorary Pallbearer will be BJ Braswell.
