Mary Juanita White Rowland Short

           Mrs. Mary Juanita White Rowland Short, 90, of Wadley passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at her residence

following an extended illness.

            Mrs. Short was born February 28, 1928 in Vidalia, Georgia, to the late Green Clinton White and Mary

Lizzie Osborne White. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lewis Carson Rowland and

Herman Short; and son, Randy Rowland. Mrs. Short enjoyed catching, cooking, and eating fish. She was the

best Mom and Nana that was loved by all, and she loved everyone. Mrs. Short was a member of the Kite Prayer

breakfast and was the oldest and longest member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church.

            Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Griffin (Hamp) of Swainsboro; daughter-in-law, Carrie Rowland

of Wadley; son, Bill Short of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Kelley Chandler, Clancey Goodwin (John), Clinton

Rowland (Melissa), Allie Rowland, and Harli Short; great-grandchildren, Mary Caroline Goodwin, John

Goodwin II, Kati Rowland, Carson Rowland, and Abbi Moore; special family friend, Cricket Salter; and several

nieces, nephews, and many friends.

            Funeral services will be at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 with Elders

Lindy Webb, Jr., and Sam Adkins officiating. Mrs. Short will lie in state one hour prior to service.

            Interment will follow in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Pallbearers are Danny Moore, Frank Goodson, Allen Goodson, Harvey Anders, Steve Jones, Wayland

Jones, and Rick Paul.
