Mr. Mayo David Lee, 62, of Wadley passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Pruitt Health – Old Capitol following an extended illness.
Mr. Lee was born March 1, 1959 in Swainsboro to Daniel Novis Lee and the late Gloria Rowland Lee. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Lee graduated from Johnson County High School and was an auto mechanic. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt. Mr. Lee also enjoyed sitting on the porch. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy S. Lee of Wadley; father, Daniel Novis Lee of Wadley; son, Jonathan Lee of Chicago, IL; daughter, Courtney Lee of Rochester, NY; step-daughter, Katie (Cody) Rogers of Harlem; brothers, Robert (Cathy) Lee of Kite, Greg (Pam) Lee of O’Fallon, IL; sister, Debbie (Jim) Molton of Wadley; step-granddaughter, Anna Rogers; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.
Interment will follow at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Brent Ross, Lenzy Lee, Jared Morrison, Sammy Lee, Cody Rogers, and Camron Davis.
