Mr. Michael Edward “Mack” Rogers, 68, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at Memorial Health in Savannah following an extended illness.
Mr. Rogers was born May 29, 1953 in Soperton to the late Otis Rogers and Annie Ruth Chapel Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Rogers, Ray Rogers, June Bug Rogers; sister, Sybil Davis. Mr. Rogers enjoyed playing the guitar and camping. He loved to cook, especially mac and cheese. Mr. Rogers loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Collins Rogers; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Rogers of Soperton, Charles (Ellen) Akridge, Dennis Akridge, David (Betsy) Akridge, all of Swainsboro; daughters, Billie-Jo Eason, Melissa (Wesley) Manning, both of Soperton, Doris (Joe) Colston of Bartow, Susan (David) Akridge of Wrightsville; brother, Mindell Rogers of Adrian; sister, Mary Shurling of Soperton; 24 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home
