Michael Duane Tillett

Mr. Michael Duane Tillett, 64, of Pembroke, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Mike was born July 31, 1959, in Fairfield, California to the late Richard Leonard Tillett and Myrtle Eudell Meeks Tillett.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Evelyn Tillett. Mike was a great cook who enjoyed board games, fishing, and fellowshipping. He loved to laugh and joke with those he cared about. He would walk his two fur babies, Bear and Casey, each evening with enthusiasm. Volunteering was very important to Mike. He spent many hours helping out at his church. He was always ready to help a friend in need. He spent many years on the west coast and was a die-hard 49er fan as a result. Those that knew him well also knew that the Seahawks held a special place in his heart as his father was from Washington. His friends and family will cherish his memory and warm spirit. Mike was a member of Calvary’s Grace Church.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Tillett of Warm Springs; daughters, Jan Johnson (Alfred) of Concord, CA, Christine Tillett of Auburn, IN, Bridgette Hammond of Pembroke; brothers, Lonnie Tillett of Sunnyvale, CA, Mark Tillett of Napa, CA; sister, Mary Brantley of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Samantha Governor of Auburn, IN; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Lambs Cemetery with Reverend Brian Patrick officiating.
