Nikki Long

Ms. Nikki Long, 34, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Long was born April 20, 1987, in Swainsboro to John Rexwell Scarboro and Cynthia Long Carter.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dewey Gregory.  Ms. Long enjoyed life to the fullest.  She loved fishing, riding dirt roads with her dad, helping people with rehabilitation and taking pictures.  Ms. Long especially loved her children and family. 

Survivors include her sons, Michael Acvedo, Jerome Long, Christian Santiago, all of Metter, Andrew Matias, Eric Matias, both of Swainsboro; daughter, Jami Long of Sandersville; mother, Cynthia (Frank) Carter of Statesboro; father, Mike Gregory of Swainsboro; biological father, John Scarboro of Swainsboro; brother, Jason (Cheyanne) Wheeler of  Swainsboro, sister, Jessica Gregory of Dublin; maternal grandmother, Diana Scarboro of Swainsboro; maternal grandfather, Donald (Faye) Long of Swainsboro; paternal grandmother, Mary Gregory of Swainsboro; special friends, Jose Matios, Lorenzo Jimenez, both of Swainsboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Shannon Boula officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers are Frank Carter, Jason Bolton, Riner Wiggins, Jose Matias, Lorenzo Jimenez and Sambo Bolton.
