Obituary

Mrs. Patty Lou Richmond Clemons Walden, 86, of Sugar Hill, GA. passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Benton House in Sugar Hill following an extended illness.

Mrs. Walden was born March 24, 1934 in East Gulf, WV. to the late Carl Richmond and Thelma Belcher Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Sidney Earl Clemons; second husband, Henry L. Walden; brothers, Donald Richmond, James Richmond; sister, Joanne Richmond. Mrs. Walden was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a life-long Baptist and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dublin. While she was still able, Mrs. Walden counted the offering at her church, delivered Meals on Wheels, and attended the gym three times a week. Her memory can best be remembered by feeding those who cannot feed themselves, helping those in need, and following the teachings of Jesus, and, above all, to love thy neighbor. Mrs. Walden lived every moment with an eye toward Heaven, trusting in God’s grace. She loved life, laughter, and the Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda “Lynn” (Michael) Kelly of Sugar Hill; granddaughter, Dale (William Kyle) Jones of Sugar Hill; great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn.

Graveside Service will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 3 p.m. at Northview Cemetery in Dublin.
