Peggy June Sutton

Ms. Peggy June Sutton, 81, of Stillmore passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Sutton was born February 26, 1940 in Stillmore to the late Agie Sutton and Marie Hammock Sutton.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Cole; brothers-in-law, Bobby Sowell and Sonny Morgan, Jr.,

son-in-law, John Van-Epps; grandson, Cole Van-Epps.  Ms. Sutton loved the Braves, Jeopardy (especially being able to answer the last question correctly) and reading.  In a humble and God-fearing way, she was very proud of being an elder of the Presbyterian church. 

Survivors include her daughters, Kym Van-Epps, Kelly Butler (Robert Wren), both of Stillmore; granddaughters, Brandy (Matt) Lamb, Brittany (Mark) Dawkins, Rachael (Zach) Appleby; great-grandchildren, Alaya Hudson, Aubrey Hudson, Chloe Dawkins. Brantley Dawkins; sisters, Mary “Pup” Morgan, Jenny Sowell; brother-in-law, Gale Cole; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. 

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Sim Warren cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Matt Lamb, Mark Dawkins, Zach Appleby, David Cole, Ben Anderson, Sutton Kemp, Dawda Njie and Kerry Sowell.
