Mrs. Phyllis Sue Rodgers O’Hail, 84, was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 13, 2022.
Mrs. O’Hail was born March 30, 1938, in a cabin in Kingsland, AR to John “JB” Burton Rodgers and Carmen “Bernice” Morgan Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Joseph Calvin O’Hail. She graduated class of 1958 from Mansfield Senior High School in Mansfield, OH. She married Joseph Ross O’Hail on July 11, 1958 and had three children. She was full of love for everyone she met. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved singing church hymns to her children, watching classic movies, and collecting mermaids.
She is survived by her daughters, Betsy McFarren (David) and Holly Fulghum (Chip), both of Swainsboro; 8 grandchildren, Phillip “Ryan” McFarren (Lindsey) of Pensacola, FL, Paul McFarren of Swainsboro, George Fulghum (Katie) of Niceville, FL, Amy Rowland (Clay) of Swainsboro, Jacob Fulghum of Swainsboro, Joseph Calvin O’Hail, Jr. (Katie) of Shelby, OH, Chloe O’Hail of Tucson, AZ, Zoey O’Hail of Ontario, OH; 5 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Ethan Rowland of Swainsboro, Elle and Foster Fulghum of Niceville, FL, Payton Sue O’Hail of Shelby, OH; ex-husband, Joseph Ross O’Hail (Phyllis Mecurio O’Hail) of Ontario, OH; 2 brothers, Jerry Rodgers (Melanie) of Mansfield, OH, Bill Rodgers of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
No formal funeral services will be held at this time.
The family will be holding a memorial service to honor her life and scatter her ashes to be with her parents and her son this summer in Ohio.
