Mr. Raymond Bennett Strange, 63, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Strange was born January 12, 1958, in Swainsboro, Ga. to C.L. “Doc” Strange and Mattie Lois Lawson Strange. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Strange; sister, Shirley Edenfield. Mr. Raymond was an avid race car fan. He enjoyed fishing, loved to be outside grilling, and loved playing the guitar. He had a strong love for the Lord and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Tara Alexander (Shane Burke) of Twin City, Tabitha (Chance) Flanders of Summertown; brother, Chan (Barbara) Strange of Summertown; sisters, Billie (Mike) Johnson, Mary (Scott) Williford both of Twin City; grandchildren, Colby Alexander, Elijah Alexander, Haylee Sutherland, Judson Flanders, Jackson Flanders; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating.
Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alton Henry, Elijah Alexander, Kevin Strange, Roy Lin Stroud, Shane Burke, and Keith Bell.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
