Robert Ball Obituary

Mr. Robert McDonald Ball, 83, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.

 

Mr. Ball was born October 29, 1936 in Manchester, OK to the late Charles Ball and Tella Estep Ball.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.  Mr. Ball enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing.  He served in the United States Marines for 17 years as a gunnery sergeant and was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War.  Mr. Ball was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Patricia Cady Ball of Swainsboro; sons, Jeffery Ball of Missouri, Jon Ball of Kansas, Tony Ball of Swainsboro; daughter, Penny Hamm of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Taylor Burkamp, Kenny Burkamp, Samantha Beamont, Stephen Johnson; 3 great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
