Robert L. Jackson

Mr. Robert L. Jackson, 80, departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Capitol Health Hospital in Hopewell, NJ.

Mr. Robert L. Jackson was born April 6, 1942, in Swainsboro, GA. He was the sixth of seven children born to Paul Jackson, Sr. and Lula Turner Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul Jackson, Jr., Bobby L. Jackson, and Willie James Jackson; two sisters, Ruby Shedrick Anthony and Emma Jean Jackson; brother-in-law, James M. Kelly, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Marvel Jackson. Mr. Robert L. Jackson was educated at Swainsboro Elementary School and High School in Swainsboro, GA. After graduating high school, he took a trade in construction work, mainly hanging sheet rock. After that, he taught other young men the trade. In 1964, he moved to Trenton, New Jersey and continued working and training other young men in the trade. With their good work, many apartments and townhouses were built in the state of New Jersey.

Mr. Robert L. Jackson leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Dorothy M. Jackson-Kelly of Waycross, GA; his sister-in-law, Linda Jackson of Columbia, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
