Mr. Roy McGee,71, of Swainsboro passed away Friday afternoon, March 10, 2017, at AU Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. McGee was born August 22, 1945 in Covena, Ga. to the late Woodrow McGee and Ruby Wilkes McGee. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dot Rich. Mr. McGee was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Irene McGee of Swainsboro; sons, Beau McGee and Bill McGee both of Swainsboro; daughters, Lisa Lumley of Grovetown, and Amy McGee of Metter; brothers, Johnny (Linda) McGee, Ken (Dorothy) McGee, and Teddy (Robin) McGee all of Swainsboro; sister, Mildred Hooks of Canoochee; grandchildren, Caleb Burgett, Conor Lumley, Jackson Head-McGee, Ian Burgett, Isabella Lumley, McClain Burgett, Marli McGee, and Marci Bowers; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2p.m. Monday afternoon, March 13, 2017 with Reverend Heath Winguard and Randall Williford officiating.
Interment will follow in the Holtons Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Simmons, Gene Caraway, Wendell McNure, Glenn Rogers, John McGee, and Denny Riner.
