Shirley Ann Bennett was born on March 20, 1950, in Toombs County, Georgia. She peacefully passed away on August 15, 2023. Shirley was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her father, William (Red) Bennett; brother, Willie Bennett; and sister, Alberta Bennett. Shirley is survived by her loving mother, Lillie Mae Bennett, and her cherished children, Donald Bennett, Beth (Lee) Pusha, Jeffrey Bennett, Celeste Lovett, Edwin (Lacountess) Bennett, Cecil Lovett, and Cheretha (Trillis) Lovett.
Her memory lives on through her siblings, Andrew (Carolyn) Bennett, Rosella (Bill) Anthony, Bobbie Lee Kent, Jacqueline (Phil) Anthony, Gail (Charlie) McKinney, Carolyn (Timmy) Floyd, and Jessie Bennett.
She leaved behind a legacy of love in her 32 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Shirley will also be deeply missed by numerous close friends and extended family members.
She touched the hearts of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she shared throughout her live.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Grubbs officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
