Solomon Johnson, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Solomon Johnson, Sr., 69, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness. 

 

Mr. Johnson was born March 14, 1951 to the late Tom Johnson and Ola Mae Mason Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Lee Johnson; daughter, Ola Bonita Johnson; sisters, Edna Poole and Elmer Lloyd; brothers, Charles Seabrough, Arthur Seabrough and Adam Bubba Seabrough.  Solomon was educated in the Emanuel County School System.  He was owner and operator of Johnson Construction and remained loyal to his masonry until his retirement.  Solomon was lovingly known as “King Solomon” and “Big Cheese”.  He had a heart of gold and truly enjoyed helping others. Solomon was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.  

 

Survivors include his wife, Jacquline Stephens Johnson of Swainsboro; son, Solomon Johnson, Jr. of Swainsboro; daughter, Karen (Reggie) Jones of Swainsboro; brother, Jimmy (Etha) Seabrough of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Solomon Keandre Johnson, Demetrias Stephens, Reginald L. Jones, Orlondo Jones, Shandreka Jones, Arigon Jones, Michael Johnson, JaNae Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Solomon (SJ) Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Kaysolon Johnson Trey Cohen; great-grandchildren, Keri Stephens, Demetrios Outler, Dontavious Stephens, Amarion Youmans, Reginald Javion Jones, Chastin Jones, Haley Brooks, Chyna Jones, Laja Lovett, Cameron Jones, Braylee Ricks, Caleb Jones, Gavin Jones, Ethan Jones, Jayda Daniels, Bailey Jones, Madilyn Jones; several nieces, nephews and many friends. 

 

Graveside Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Stanley Moore officiating.

 

The family will receive friends at Chapman Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021.

 

Pallbearers will be Meady Phillips, Tommy Lloyd, Valario Stephens and Taurean Gardner. 

 

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during service.
