Mr. Steelie D. Moore, 70, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Moore was born April 15, 1950 in Swainsboro to the late Rufus Clyde Moore & Zoie Lee Coleman Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmie and Lamar Moore; sisters, Margaret Proctor, Johnnie Clyde Wolford, and Mary Ann Alewine. Mr. Moore was a certified electrician, plumber, and scuba diver. He was a vice president of Handi House for 44 years. Mr. Moore loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, camping, cooking, woodworking, being outdoors and loved animals. He attended Swainsboro Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Hudson Moore of Swainsboro; son, Kevin Steelie Moore (Hope) of Swainsboro; daughter, Kimberly Lee Campbell (Jeff) of Cartersville; step-son, Zeb (Kayla) Brown of Dallas, GA; brother, Russell (Judy) Moore of Dellwood; grandchildren, Justin Lee Moore, Kaylee Hope Moore, and Benjamin Campbell; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be private 11 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the family cemetery with Reverends Steve Dowless and Rusty Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation.
