Susan Kay (Hall) Marsh

Mrs. Susan Kay Marsh, 57, of Davisboro passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness.

Susan was born April 24, 1966, in Swainsboro to Buddy Joseph Hall and Marian Lucille York.  She was preceded in death by her brother, David Joseph Hall; grandmothers, Ruby Lucille Carter and Quntion Carter.  Susan was a member of Oaky Grove Baptist Church.  She loved Christmas.  Susan was a good cook and always had a smile.  Her love was God first, then family and friends.  She especially loved her grandchildren.  Susan enjoyed collecting Thomas Kinkaid portraits. She also enjoyed her time on the back of her husband’s Harley.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Marsh of Davisboro; father, Buddy Joseph Hall of Baxley; mother, Marian Lucille York of Wrightsville; son, Aaron Marsh (Jacqueline) of Patterson; daughter, Kayla Marsh (Craig Hall) of Riddleville; stepdaughter, Amber Thompson (Tim); brother Buddy Hall, Jr. (Jennifer) of Baxley; sisters, Joyce Miller (Buddy) of Swainsboro, Sherry Stavely of Wrightsville, Pamela McDaniel (Brad) of Baxley, B. J. Hall of Baxley; grandchildren, Neyland Wasden, Jaxon Wasden, Walker Hall, Ashton Selph, Lauren Selph, Bret Smith; great-grandchildren, Cambrie Selph, Brynlee Kate Selph, Hayden Wall, Addison Wall;  stepgrandsons, Gabriel Thompson, Julian Thompson, Nico Thompson; pet, Rocky; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Oakey Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Tom Akins and Harry Hadden officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 5. 2024 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Oaky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Aaron Marsh, Justin Stavely, Brad McDaniel, Jeffrey Miller, Craig Hall and Timothy Jackson.
