Mr. Thomas Purvis, 57, of Kite passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Purvis was born October 21, 1962 in Swainsboro, GA. to Thomas Purvis and Joyce Price Moore. He was preceded in death by his father; sister-in-law, Debbie Purvis. Mr. Purvis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a jack of all trades.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Purvis of Kite; mother, Joyce Moore of Kite; sons, James Leonard Purvis (Elizabeth) of Colorado Springs, Phillip Riner of Swainsboro, Dustin Edenfield of Kite, and Kyle Edenfield of Gainsville; daughters, Kristen Leann Weber (Dan) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Nicole Osika (Drew) of Clearwater, Florida; brothers, Tanny Purvis and Christopher Hilson both of Kite; 14 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 15, 2020 2 p.m. at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Richard Penelle officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends Monday, September 14, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Chris Hilson, Tanny Purvis, Dustin Edenfield, Glenn Price, Kelly Fortner, and Ralph Jackson.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
