Mrs. Trudie Louise Calhoun Brantley, 54, of Metter passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Candler County Hospital in Metter following an extended illness.
Mrs. Brantley was born July 3, 1966 in Augusta to the late John Ray Calhoun and Nona L. Pardue Calhoun. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie Brantley. Mrs. Brantley loved to write songs and poems. She enjoyed coloring, dancing, and talking to loved ones. Mrs. Brantley attended Woodland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, John Bishop; daughters, Tabitha Bishop (Payton Soles) of Metter, Christina Nash (Nick) of Augusta; stepdaughters, Jenny Mullis (Darrell), Rebecca Brantley, Crystal Lee (Jason); brothers, William “Troy” Poteat (Teresa) and Timothy “Timbo” Calhoun (Janie), both of Augusta, Preston Calhoun (Nancy) of Stapleton; sisters, Grace Karp of Woodstock, Beverly Calhoun of Savannah, Hazel Brotherton of Florida, Penny Barlow (Tony) of Blythe; sisters-in-law, Dianne Tucker (Greg) of Metter and Melissa Jones Floyd; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
