Vickie (McKenney) Mosley

Mrs. Vickie McKenney Mosley, 66, of Metter passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Candler County Hospital in Metter following a brief illness.

Mrs. Mosley was born February 24, 1954 in Oak Park to the late Charlie McKenney & Carrie Lee Webb McKenney. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie McKenney, Jr.; sisters, Patricia Jones, Mary Sue Kendrix. Mrs. Mosley attended the Emanuel County School System. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Mrs. Mosley loved the Lord. She attended Friendly Church of God in Christ in Augusta. Mrs. Mosley later transferred her membership to Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church in Metter. She met Levi in Augusta and they began dating. They later got married after moving to Metter. Through the good and bad times, they remained united over 25 years. One of the joys of her life was working in her yard, grooming and caring for her flowers. Mrs. Mosley also enjoyed shopping on TV, ordering QVC and HSN products. She worked at Creston Shirt Factory for 30 years. Mrs. Mosley was known by her family and friends as someone who would speak her mind, whether you wanted to hear it or not, but she loved her family and wanted everyone to know.

Survivors include her husband, Levi Freeman, III of Metter; son, Chris (Tammy) Mosley of Swainsboro; daughters, Pamela McKenney, Angela Lawrence, both of Summertown; brothers, Mike McKenney, Dewayne (Karen) McKenney, both of Summertown, Carl McKenney of Macon; sisters, Jeanette Sherrod of Summertown, Loretta Brown of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Chris Mosley, Jr., Rodriquez Williams, Keon Burke, NaKedra Mosley, Markeala Wilcher; great-grandchildren, Kingston Frederick, Kamore Burke, Tamyshia Johnson, Kaden Wilcher, Jayden Wilcher; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Saturday, July 11, 2020 10 a.m. at Eternal Glory Gardens with Reverend Mario D. Webb Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Mrs. Mosley’s nephews.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.
