Mr. Walter Lamb Cannady, 53, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his residence.
Walter was born in Savannah on January 3, 1970, to Jack Walling Cannady and Becky Lamb Cannady. He was preceded in death by his parents. Walter was a D.E.A. graduate. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing. Walter loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was employed by Faircloth Forest Products in Swainsboro for many years, which was Walter’s second family.
He is survived by his son, Pudge (Amanda) Cannady of Statesboro; daughter, Tayler (Bubba) Rountree of Twin City; grandchildren, Kace Rountree, Kinzee Rountree, Hudson Cannady; sister, Dawn (Steve) Williams of Swainsboro; nephews, Wes (Brandie) Scarboro and Kyle (Brittany) Williams, both of Swainsboro; fur baby, Izzy and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Faircloth, Marc Collins, Ronald Barwick, Ricky Ely, Dustin Watkins, Glen Watkins, Ty Fagler and Brent Fails.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Swainsboro Raceway family and the Faircloth Forestry family.
