Mr. Wayne “Skillet” Henry, 50, of Twin City passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Henry was born May 28, 1970 in Swainsboro to Lake Wayne Henry and Shirley Edenfield Henry. He was preceded in death by his father. Wayne Skillet Henry lived and loved with all he had. Family and friends were important to him. He loved his children, and it gave him joy to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a loyal friend who could be counted on to have your back in times of need. Wayne was a welder by trade, and a very skilled one. In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting pool and competing in pool tournaments, many of which he won. Another great talent he had was making you feel at ease. He loved to joke and make people laugh. We all have our demons to fight, and Wayne was no exception. He was, however, exceptionally good at picking himself up, dusting himself off, and getting back to living life on his terms. He never gave up.
I know from our conversations that Wayne believed in Jesus Christ. I believe he's there now, and he and his daddy are showing everybody how to 'be yourself'.
Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend, nephew...we love you and miss you always...until we meet again up yonder....
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Henry (Virgil Turner) of Adrian; wife, Angyla Henry of Twin City; sons, Zach Henry and Ryan Williams (Kayla) both of Swainsboro; daughters, Kealia Morris (Craig) of Swainsboro and Harley Henry of Twin City; brother, Paul Henry of Adrian; sister, Christy Bryan (James) of Adrian; special brother, Henry Oglesby of Twin City; grandchildren, Gaige Wilcher, Michael Wilcher, Remington Wilcher, Gunner Williams, Sophia Williams, and Kason Williams ; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
